Behind the Lens: My Creative Internship Journey at 90 Degrees North Inc.

Lights. Camera. City Finds!

Who would’ve thought that stepping into the world of media could be this exciting? As an intern at 90 Degrees North, a dynamic media company known for its wide reach in TV production, film, rentals, distributorships, and system integration, I’ve found myself right at the heart of creativity and storytelling.

I’m currently part of the Creative Department, where the magic happens before the cameras even start rolling. One of our main tasks is preparing for a vibrant upcoming segment called City Finds, a show that explores unique spots at Quezon City that are worth a second or third look. We dive deep into research to help the team discover these gems. Who knew Google would become my best friend?

But it doesn’t stop there.

We also write articles and create captions for upcoming holidays throughout the year. Whether it’s for posts celebrating Philippine traditions or other special occasions, we make sure every word adds color and context to our visual stories. It’s like being the silent narrator in the background, ensuring the message lands just right.

Each day at 90 Degrees North teaches me something new whether it’s about crafting better copy, understanding how a media company moves, or simply how many coffees it takes to brainstorm caption ideas for National Heroes Day.

Being an intern here isn’t just about getting the job done. It’s about learning to see the world through a creative lens, where even the smallest detail can spark a story worth telling.

And for me, that’s a find worth celebrating.
