One RFID for All Tolls: A DOTr Initiative

On October 21, the Department of Transportation (DOTr) has unified the use of the RFIDs under AutoSweep and EasyTrip; taking away the inconvenience of having two separate accounts for each toll.

Before the unification of the two RFIDs, toll users are to pass through the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX), Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX), Cavite Expressway (CAVITEX), C5 Link, and the Cavite-Laguna Expressway (CALAX) using EasyTrip. On the other hand, an Autosweep RFID was needed to pass through the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX), the Skyway, STAR Tollway, NAIA Expressway (NAIAX), Tarlac-Pangasinan-La Union Expressway (TPLEX), and Muntinlupa-Cavite Expressway (MCX).
