Universidad de Zamboanga Crowns New Winners

The spotlight shone bright at the Summit Center on October 1, 2025, for the new Mr. and Ms. UZ 2025. This year’s winners: Mr. Nijmarc Najar from the School of Allied Medicine and Ms. Daphne Dale Paglinawan from the UZ Pagadian Campus. With their poise, wit, and elegance, the two emerged as the new Ambassadors of Goodwill, representing the values of leadership, service, and excellence that define the UZ community.

The coronation night was the grand highlight of UNIDAD 2025: Ubuntu: I Am, Because We Are, which also marked the official launch of UZ’s founding anniversary celebration. The packed Summit Center came alive with exhilarating performances during the Opening Salvo, capped by the much-awaited pageant hosted by special celebrity guests Pauline Amelinckx and Sean Kyle Ortega.

Behind the scenes, the event was powered by 90 Degrees North Inc., providing LED walls, the latest cameras, lights and audio systems. With their cutting-edge livestreaming setup, audiences on-ground and online experienced every moment with crisp video and clear audio, ensuring that the pride and spirit of Mindanaoan beauty and excellence reached far and wide.
As UZ roars louder in its 77th year, this year’s winners carry a mission to inspire and lead with purpose, continuing the legacy of unity and excellence across the region.
