June 26, 2026

ZAMBOANGA CITY — Marking 11 years of driving impactful environmental initiatives, 90 Degrees North has proudly orchestrated a customized renewable energy solution for the Universidad de Zamboanga (UZ). The company engineered UZ’s 207.7 kWp PV Solar Rooftop Project, designed to drastically improve energy efficiency, curb carbon emissions, and anchor the university’s long-term sustainability vision.

More than just a collection of solar panels, this milestone project represents a smarter, more responsible leap toward cleaner energy for future generations.

The initiative reached a major milestone on February 26, 2026, during an official signing ceremony held at the Teatro Estrella, Edificio Academico, UZ Main Campus in Tetuan.

Through a strategic partnership between Universidad de Zamboanga, Kozo Dynamic Power Corp. (KDCP), and 90 Degrees North, the university is launching an expansion initiative. This adds a new 183-kilowatt-peak (kWp) hybrid solar rooftop system to the 484 kWp already utilized by the institution, significantly strengthening UZ’s overall renewable energy capacity.

As a dedicated champion of environmental responsibility, UZ has aligned this expansion with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 7: Affordable and Clean Energy.

The formal agreement was signed by top executives and leaders dedicated to advancing a greener, more resilient future:

  • Universidad de Zamboanga: President Mr. Abram Eustaquio and Vice President for Administration Mr. Alfredo Eustaquio.
  • Kozo Dynamic Power Corp.: General Manager Mr. Ramon-Martie Alday.
  • 90 Degrees North: Regional Lead Ms. Ira Bolilan.

As 90 Degrees North celebrates over a decade of innovation, orchestrating this partnership reinforces a mutual commitment to sustainable, environmentally responsible energy solutions that will benefit the community for years to come.
