Disaster Preparedness: A 90 Degrees North Inc. Mission

June 20, 2025

On June 19, 90 Degrees North Inc. actively participated in this year’s 2nd National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED).

With disaster preparedness at its core, 90DN Occupational Safety and Health Sec. Engr. Ericka Abalos led and monitored the earthquake drill implementation at each location. Employees across 90DN practiced the “Duck, Cover, and Hold” technique — a crucial step in preparing for earthquake scenarios.

This nationwide effort, spearheaded by the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), aims to strengthen public awareness and readiness in the event of “The Big One.”

As the Philippines lies within the Pacific Ring of Fire — a region where earthquakes and volcanic activity are frequent and intense — every Filipino must remain alert and prepared.

Always remember: Duck, Cover, and Hold.
Because at 90 Degrees North Inc., safety comes first.
